(The Cat and the Cock)

The Cat and the Cock

A CAT caught a cock, and pondered how he might find a reasonable excuse for eating him. He accused him of being a nuisance to men by crowing in the night-time and not permitting them to sleep.

The cock defended himself by saying that he did this for the benefit of men, that they might rise in time for their labours.
The cat replied,   "Although you abound in specious apologies, I shall not remain supperless"; and he made a meal of him.

“Beasts do not need excuses for killing and eating others.”

(The Cat and the Cock)
A CAT caught a cock, and pondered how he might find a reasonable excuse for eating him.

He accused him of being a nuisance to men by crowing in the night-time and not permitting them to sleep.

The cock defended himself by saying that he did this for the benefit of men, that they might rise in time for their labours.

The cat replied, "Although you abound in specious apologies, I shall not remain supperless"; and he made a meal of him.

(The Ungrateful Wolf)

The Ungrateful Wolf

(The Ungrateful Wolf)
The evening came, and a shepherd's boy finished the care of the sheep and had gone down the mountain. "Hey, help me, please." The voice can be heard from the bottom of a deep hole. When the shepherd looked at the hole, a wolf jumped repeatedly to get out from the bottom, making a loud noise. "Wolf, what are you doing?"

(The Ungrateful Wolf)

"Mr. shepherd, please help me." "No I don't. If I help you, you will attack and eat my sheep." "If you help me, I promise that I won't attack your sheep."

The shepherd tied the rope to a forelimb which has appeared at edge of a hole, and he pulled it. "puttsn" "Ouch!" The rope was cut, and the wolf had dropped down.

Next, he stretched his hand from the edge of hole, and raised the wolf, holding a forelimb of the wolf.
(The Ungrateful Wolf)

The wolf which had been taken out from a hole did not thank to the shepherd, and conversely he opened his big mouth with tusks. "You did binding me with a rope, and tried to kill me by dropping into the bottom of a hole" The wolf pounced to him.

"This boy is a bad fellow who dropped me down to the bottom of the hole, by cutting the rope after bounding my forelimb"

Then, the monkey said. "Let me see the similar situation once again, for the confirming of truth ."   "I'll show that I am right.." The wolf jumped into the hole.

The wolf said "Now, bind my forelimb here." The shepherd released the hand suddenly, after bounding the forelimb and pulling him up. "Daan!" "Ouch! Monkey, did you see it? I experienced such a terrible thing, really." "I understand, ungrateful wolf!. Stay there forever. Good bye." The shepherd boy and the monkey went away singing a song.

"Mr. shepherd, please help me." "No I don't. If I help you, you will attack and eat my sheep." "If you help me, I promise that I won't attack your sheep." The shepherd tied the rope to a forelimb which has appeared at edge of a hole, and he pulled it. "puttsn" "Ouch!" The rope was cut, and the wolf had dropped down.

Next, he stretched his hand from the edge of hole, and raised the wolf, holding a forelimb of the wolf. The wolf which had been taken out from a hole did not thank to the shepherd, and conversely he opened his big mouth with tusks. "You did binding me with a rope, and tried to kill me by dropping into the bottom of a hole" The wolf pounced to him.

"This boy is a bad fellow who dropped me down to the bottom of the hole, by cutting the rope after bounding my forelimb" Then, the monkey said.

"After receiving a help, if you forget the kindness immediately, nobody will help you again."
