(The Butcher and the two Boys)

The Butcher and the two Boys
Two young people was buying meat in the same establishment. Seeing the butcher occupied in another place, one of the boys stole a few remains and threw them in the pocket of the other.  After the butcher came back and noticed the absence of the pieces, he accused the two boys.

But the one that had taken them swore that he did not have them, and the one that had them swore that he had not taken them. Comprising his cunning argument, said the butcher:
"You can escape from me for a false oath, but you will not escape before the gods."

“The false oaths do not stop being false although they disguise themselves with the true.”
