Thinking that the swan's splendid white color came from his washing in the water in which he swam, the raven left moved from his neighborhood and took up residence in the lakes and pools.
มันคิดว่าขนสีขาวที่แสนสวยของหงส์ น่าจะมาจากการที่หงส์ได้ซักล้างปีกในน้ำ ดังนั้นเจ้านกกาเหว่าเลยย้ายถิ่นฐานของมันมาอยู่ใกล้ๆ ทะเลสาบ หลังจากนั้นมันก็อาบน้ำเพื่อชำระขนของมันบ่อยที่สุดเท่าที่จะทำได้
However, cleansing his feathers as often as he would, he could not change their color, and eventually starved from lack of food.
แต่น่าสงสารที่มันไม่สามารถเปลี่ยนสีขนของมันให้เหมือนหงส์ได้เลย และในที่สุดมันก็เป็นโรคขาดอาหาร เพราะมันอยู่ไกลจากแหล่งอาหารของมัน
