The Wolf and the Sheep

A wolf had been badly wounded by dogs. He lay sick and maimed in his lair. He felt very hungry and thirsty. When a Sheep passed by, he asked him to fetch some water from the stream.
            "If you will bring me the water,” he said, “I will find means to get some food."
            "Yes," said the Sheep, "if I should bring you the water, you would undoubtedly make me your food."
                                       
                           “Hypocritical speeches are easily seen through.”

หมาป่าถูกสุนัขหลายตัวรุมกัด

He lay sick and maimed in his lair.
มันล้มป่วยและนอนบาดเจ็บสาหัสในถ้ำของมัน

He felt very hungry and thirsty.
หมาป่ารู้สึกหิวและกระหายมาก

When a Sheep passed by, he asked him to fetch some water from the stream.
ขณะที่แกะกำลังเดินผ่านมา หมาป่าเอ๋ยบอกกับแกะว่าให้ช่วยเอาน้ำจากลำธารมาให้ตน

"If you will bring me the water,” he said, “I will find means to get some food."
“หากเจ้านำน้ำมาให้ข้า” หมาป่าพูด “ข้าจะบอกวิธีหาอาหารให้กับเจ้า”

"Yes," said the Sheep, "if I should bring you the water, you would undoubtedly make me your food."
“งั้นเหรอ” แกะตอบ “หากฉันนำน้ำมาให้ท่านดื่ม ท่านคงจะกินฉันเป็นอาหารอย่างไม่ต้องสงสัยเลยล่ะซิ”
